What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible consisting of the Old and New Testament, to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God written.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in this present evil world.

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.

Our Church Covenant

  • We avow God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to be the object of our supreme affection, and our portion forever.
  • We acknowledge Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Redeemer; and the Holy Spirit to be our Sanctifier, Comforter, and Guide.
  • We choose the Word of God to be our rule, and the people of God to be our people.
  • We dedicate ourselves, soul and body, time and talents, powers and possessions to the service of God.
  • We promise that, grace assisting, we will observe the commandments and ordinances of God, seek the honor and interest of His kingdom; and henceforth, denying all ungodliness and every worldly lust, live soberly, righteously, and godly in the world.
  • We covenant with this church to submit to its rules of government and discipline; to strive earnestly for its purity, peace, and edification; to walk with its members in charity, and faithfulness; to attend diligently upon its services, and to aid in maintaining its worship and in diffusing its influence for good.
  • We engage, also, to hold and promote cordial fellowship with the members of sister Churches of the Common Head, that the Lord may be one, and His name one, in His Churches throughout all generations to His eternal glory in Jesus Christ.

Our Church Polity

Church Polity

In keeping with its Congregational heritage, our church consists of professing believers in Christ who join together by covenant with God and one another.  Christ is Lord of the church, and Scripture is the sole authority in matters of faith and practice.  As seen in Revelation 2 and 3, members of individual churches are held directly accountable to Christ. Since each member of the church is part of the body, and has the Holy Spirit within, we believe that ultimate human authority and discernment should reside in the church membership as opposed to other possibilities such as government rulers, popes, bishops, presbyteries, pastors, or self-perpetuating elderships.

Our Core Values

Transformed by Jesus

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

Loving each other like Jesus

We are a community that brings glory to God by walking with Him.

We seek to grow in our relationship with God through worship, prayer, and Bible Study so that we might become more like Jesus in every area of life.

Loving each other like Jesus

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

Loving each other like Jesus

We intentionally live life together as the family of God.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we care for each other as a family by praying together, gathering regularly, meeting in small groups, caring for each other, forgiving, reconciling, and sharing life’s joys and sorrows.

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

We are discipling a new generation to grow in their faith and to lead.

We invest in the next generation as they grow in their faith and encourage their leadership. We are a church where all generations are cared for and are being transformed by Jesus.

Sharing Jesus with the lost

Extending the love of Jesus to our city

Empowering the next generation to follow Jesus

We have been rescued by Jesus, so we boldly share our faith with others.

We share our faith in Jesus to a broken and searching world by offering hospitality to others, meeting them where they are, and inviting them to follow Jesus with us.

Serving Jesus together

Extending the love of Jesus to our city

Extending the love of Jesus to our city

We are a diverse community who use our unique gifts and talents to serve in love.

Each of us has been designed and created uniquely by God to do great things for his Glory. Our Church is a place where everyone's gifts are used and shared to serve Jesus Christ.

Extending the love of Jesus to our city

Extending the love of Jesus to our city

We are becoming the hands and feet of Jesus to the City of Revere and beyond.

We are intentionally involved in Revere by caring for the needs and concerns of the city, especially the homeless, immigrants, and the poor.
